Save, finalize and submit results are states of a procedure. , Save saves the result entries in a procedure so that the person entering the results (not authorised to submit) can make changes and/or additions at a later time. , Finanlize is the state in which a procedure is when it can no longer be changed by a person who is not authorised to submit. It is for submission to the person who checks the entries again and is authorised to submit them. , Submit is the state in which no more changes can be made by the laboratory entering the result. Before this, the person signing off has the option of releasing the procedure for processing again and leaving a comment in the event of errors. ,
